Small double bedroom This cottage opens onto the courtyard / garden room Double sofa bed in lounge Monday to Monday lets Aberdeenshire - Delgatie Castle - Tourist Board Grade 1 Access Elmwood in the Coach House was specially designed for wheelchair users when we converted the building into holiday homes. There is a ground floor bedroom with a double bed - the bed allows a hoist to be slid under if required. There is a downstairs shower room with tiled floor and wheelchair access for the shower with a wall seat, grab rails for the toilet. The ground floor is very spacious and our holiday makers enjoy having so much room in the kitchen and sitting room. All switches are at wheel chair height. Visitors to the Castle in wheelchairs only have access to the ground floor and the coffee shop and they can drive to the front of the Castle The Elmwood downstairs is adapted to accommodate disabled people. It has accommodations for 7 people with a double bedroom downstairs along with shower room and toilet, and a very spacious sitting room with large picture window. The kitchen is very large and has a lovely view from its window. Upstairs there is a double bedroom, one twin bedroom and a single bedroom and bathroom. Angus - Glenprosen Cottages - Katy`s Cottage has been awarded the National Accessibility Accommodation Standard Category 2 and is considered to be suitable for a wheelchair user travelling with assistance. We find that many families who stay have one or more of their number who require assistance Argyll - Oak Tree Cottage - Wheelchair access makes it suitable for disabled guests. Argyll - The Galley of Lorne Inn - All bedrooms and public rooms are located on the ground floor, with no steps to negotiate. Of the seven rooms, three are particularly suitable for residents with mobility difficulties. Our aim at Melfort is to enable anyone to come and enjoy a relaxing holiday in this idyllic setting, therefore it was important to us to provide comfortable and accessible accommodation for our less able guests. Aviemore- High Range Holiday Lodges - Brae Riach Chalet Looking after the needs of families with a disabled member, a 2 bedroom self-catering chalet has been specifically designed and built to CATEGORY 1, STB **** GRADED specifications. It sleeps, very comfortably 3 persons, an extra space saver bed is also available. The toilet has special handles and the "wheel in " shower has a folding seat and is fully accessible. A wall mounted hair dryer is included. The kitchen is equipped with a washing machine/tumble dryer, dishwasher, ceramic hob cooker, oven/grill and microwave oven, all fully accessible to a wheelchair user. The living room is well furnished and includes television and video. The dining area has a superb view of the mountains. Parking is opposite the chalet where a ramp leads directly to the door. They own a caravan park with new amenity block, with fully accessible toilet and shower facilities. Ayrshire - Relais & Chateaux, Glenapp Castle - Scottish Tourist Board designation of Assisted Wheelchair Access for Residents. We have one ground floor luxury double or twin room which has specific features to make it suitable for assisted wheelchair access. The room is directly opposite the lift and the nearest fire exit, both of which are wheelchair accessible. The public rooms are one floor above. The ensuite bathroom is more than big enough for a wheelchair to turn and all doors are more than the required width. The bathroom has support rails by the wc and beside the bath, with a extra height toilet seat available if required. It has a large cast iron bath with an overbath shower and a platform at the back from which a wheelchair user can lower him or herself into the bath. The pedestal basin has knee space below for a wheelchair user. Taps are easy to grip. Light switches are lowered. There is a large button phone Ayrshire - The Burnlea Hotel - The Burnlea Hotel is purpose built and has many aids to enable guests to have a care-free holiday. These include ramped entrances, handrails in all corridors, call units throughout, a hearing-loop system and specially designed chairs and other furniture. Friendly Farm Holiday Complex offering self catering courtyard apartments (short breaks available) or bed and breakfast at ?20 per person, per night. Suites available at ?30 per person, per night. There is a ramp to the front door (1:12) and a small ramp from lounge to dinning room. The first room is a twin, a twin bedded room with a large dressing room and shower area. The second room has a double and two single beds, screened from each other for privacy, and is an ideal family room. Both rooms have special facilities with roomy, level access showers, support rails and heated towel rails. There is plenty of room to manoeuvre in both rooms. One bedroom has been specially adapted for wheelchair users and has a double and single bed in it. The bathroom is large and fitted out with grab rails and roll-in shower.
